Lisette Casey, Strategy Officer, Modern Teacher
Transition from Traditional Classrooms to Modern Learning Environments
Lisette Casey is currently serving as Strategy Officer for Modern Teacher. Her background in public education includes 22 years of experience at the elementary, secondary and administrative levels. She is passionate about the growing need to transform educational practices to create authentic and collaborative learning environments that promote inquiry, visible thinking, and student voice and choice through Digital Convergence. In efforts to create classrooms for modern learners, Lisette works with administration and staff in effectively designing and delivering both professional development and educational content for 24/7 availability with an emphasis on making learning personal for all learners. She has effectively collaborated with school-wide administration to successfully develop and implement a district-wide iPad roll out and personalized learning program. Lisette is also an Apple Distinguished Educator.

Roger Henson, Coordinator for the Schools of Innovative Learning & Technology
Roger Henson is the Coordinator for Academy School District 20’s Schools of Innovative Learning and Technology (Mountain View Elementary, Challenger Middle School and Pine Creek High School). His role is to coordinate and support students, teachers, administrators and parents as the Schools of Innovative Learning and Technology transition to mobile learners in a 1:1 mobile device environment. In his 15 years in education Roger has taught Kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of subjects. Roger’s vision is to support learning environments and activities where mobile devices accelerate our students’ learning as they prepare for their futures. He was awarded his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his M.Ed. in Special Education and Education Leadership from Southwest Texas State University (Go Cats!).

John Litchenberg, Instructional Technology Coordinator
John Litchenberg is the Instructional Technology Coordinator for District 49. A 10 year teaching veteran in Falcon's middle and high schools, John transitioned to the role of Apple System Engineer to facilitate a 1:1 initiative. John's primary goal is to create a atmosphere where teachers are able to reach every student through technology by fostering 21st century learning principles. He received his B.A. in English from Fort Lewis College and his M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
